It would be nice to control the speed by which the terrain editor works. Raising and lowering to the extremes the map allows it currently very slow, which allows for great control but is time-consuming when all you're trying to do is fill or empty spaces.

Merged with: Full Map Max Elevation or Faster/Larger Elevation Tools for Cave Creation
Uncle Winston
I've had success creating natural-looking caves by carving areas out of max elevation terrain with the room placement at plateau or water level (to still be able to add rooms inside the caves).
However, the process of using the "Raise elevation" tool for an entire map is laborious and time consuming.
Possible features to facilitate this:
Ability to speed up the elevation tools.
Ability to quickly raise/lower large sections of the map or the entire map to the maximum/minimum elevation.
The option to generate the entire map at max elevation initially (instead of just mountain peaks).

Currently if you are modelling a large area with the raise/lower terrain controls, it is extremely time consuming. A slider control to increase/decrease the speed of the raise/lower function would enable much faster modelling, or finer control as needed.

This will make sculpting so much easier and less tedious.

Agreed. Having a slider called "Brush strength" or something similar would to the trick.

I think that would be sweet too. Tried to make an underground map by raising the ground then carving out rooms etc. Was painful took way longer than it should.
