With Starfinder 2e on the horizon (June 2025), and various other Sci-Fi TTRPGs becoming more popular, I encourage DA to consider putting this in high priority
It is hard to find map generators that can handle things like Starfinder, Palladium, WOiN Future, and anyother Space or Future Sci-fi games out there. Too many focus on Fantasy or Gothic Horror.
I really agree with this forum. I can use workshop assets to painfully create space ports/ ships etc, but it is highly manual. So a big thumbs up for full space/ technological theme support - even a DLC as I can imagine it isn't just checker plated floors and shiny sterile looking corridors! Planet landscapes may well be different to DAs current base of terrains, space ships and structures could be styled in multiple ways for example alien style organic art works, to star trek-esque clean lines. Cyber punk and steam punk themes should be part of this genre too. It feels like a DLC's worth to me. Please don't shoot me for thinking of the Devs pockets "All"; we all need to pay bills. ;)
Yes please as it is tough to find a sci-fi map today there are a few tilesets supported on the dungeon draft but not as of the same quality as these are.
My god I need a cyberpunk-ish/sci-fi theme so bad. Why do none of the map programs have this theme? I love DA, so easy to use but there are other genre's than medieval fantasy. We need love too!!!
I was excited when a friend said that youy'd added Sci-Fi support. But then despair set in when it turned out to be just import 3D assets from elsewhere.
impatiently waiting for the day of tru Sci-Fi support, since our entire extended group has prettty much abandoned D&D since the whole Hasbro/WotC OGL debacle and embraced a plethora of Sci-Fi &Modern games - SWADE, Traveller, Starfinder, Aliens, Expanse, Bladerunner, Star Trek Adventures SWADE Cyberpunk, Werwolf, Cthulhu Numenera, Fallout.
Please give us map tools for these before we lose all hope
Please remember that DA is still in Early Access and the devs have a series of promises from the Kickstarter to fulfil before they can look at additional themes such as Sci-fi.
it's more then a year available and DA working on very funny objects, what is cute, but not helpfull if you want to use it for modern / Sci-fi setting. Don't get me wrong, i LOVE DA, but i can not use it for my new Shadowrun group
Waiting for this before buy. Nothing against Dungeon Alchemist (which looks freaking awesome), just the need for my group. Crossing fingers for this theme and hopefully soon ;).
Yeah, if there was sci-fi related things, that would be great, since I do run a Mass Effect campaign. I think, like everyone else said, Sci-FI genre is overlooked, and would be good that more and more map editing applications should have that ability to have a bunch of different genres available for people.
It would be great to have maps that can crossover for Starfinder, Star Wars and 40K. There's a real lack of decent Sci-Fi map makers on the market and to have one that also can auto-create would be invaluable.
I would like Theme Warhammer 40k. For obvious reasons, they can't use certain symbols (Aquilla or Omnissiah) but in general, a mix of sci-fi, alien, cyberpunk and postapo with cathedrals and spaceships interiors is probably possible :)
I would need this theme to be implemented before even considering purchasing DA. I almost exclusively play sci fi/future RPGs and the fact that most of the tools out there are skewed towards D&D/Fantasy is endlessly irritating
well just to reinforce the request. i saw your add at youtube and came to your site and i was disappointed to not have sci-fi theme support... can you please add it.if so i would buy it as i think is a good one.
Grimdark style for Warhammer 40k... That would be amazing. With the amount of ttrpg in this setting, and the new release from Cubicle7 with foundry official system about to come out and Wrath and Glory already oficially in foundry with many modules present... this would be instantly famous with DMs there
I wish they would make a Theme for Warhammer (because of the licence, of course, they couldn't call it that or use certain specific assets). Mix of Sci-Fi, Cyberpunk, Postapo.
-
If something like this comes out, I'll buy it immediately.
Same here. So few sci-fi themed out there. And this grimdark wh40k has so many uses, in the wargame, in the 7 (8 counting editions) different core rpg games, for some of their boardgames...
with the ever-expanding number of settings for tabletops, it'd be awesome to be able to use Dungeon Alchemist for TTRPGS outside of the fantasy genre, as well!
Would love to see this being developed in the future! I'm a StarWars game master, and could see a LOT of potential for using DA in my future campaigns.
Definitely upvoting sci fi themes, which could be as simple as a reskin of current objects ("simple" in theory, I've no idea what the modellers do..)
I have significantly more sci fi games vs fantasy and being able to map some sci fi would be AMAZING.
I'll be trying to use the new green walls and floors to supplement terrain but gotta have those other goodies to round it out
I am a great Fan of Star Trek and i would like to build maps with a Sci Fi Setting. At time a use a Storytelling with a time journey or visiting the holodeck as a story.
I know this was talked about in Kickstarter and that the focus is currently on fantasy, but it would be great to be able to generate maps for sci-fi-esque settings, especially with Spelljammer out now.
Currently running my starfinder group through a 'dungeon' but have no scifi elements to really dress it up. Would LOVE a scifi pack for ships, facilities and cities! I could make do with blank floors, walls and doors.
You know the meme, SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!!!
But seriously though, with the release of Spelljammer for 5e it would be really cool to see some space theming for our Treasure Planet style adventures.
With a revamp of D&D's Spelljammer coming out, it would be great to have magical space ship themes and some objects of the decidedly "elder god" aberrations style.
I like to run a regular Mothership game, at the moment I use Campaign Cartographer 3+ to create maps for it ... And it is a pain in the ass. DA is great for fantasy, would be great for SciFi too.
Would love this pack, especially for Traveller and Starfinder. However also think it should be a DLC we need to pay for, should also have a Nuclear wastelands theme, something we can use with Fallout etc..
One of the reasons I originally backed Dungeon Alchemist was the hope that they may release a sci-fi theme eventually. I play Starfinder and this theme would go a long ways towards more fluid campaigns.
I am a GM that runs a long run on a Coriolis campaign and this would be massive help!!! Also, as stated before, there are tons of fantasy maps, and adds, but no for sci-fi so, please keep us in mind. Cheers!!
Anything anywhere between modern to futuristic would make this a killer-app in map creation for setting-agnostic systems like Savage Worlds. I have such a hard time finding map building resources for my non-fantasy campaigns.
This so much THIS!!!! There are SO few resources for Traveller RPG when it comes to ships, battle maps ect. It would be amazing as I just struggle to find good maps for my weekly Traveller game.

i agree, im doing a starfinder and star wars campaign maps im finding it hard to find any map designers or similair to help with assests etc
Daniel Sullivan
Happy for this to be a paid DLC, but this functionality is missing from the market in a consistent qualitative manner such as what DA provides.
Amy Elder
It is hard to find map generators that can handle things like Starfinder, Palladium, WOiN Future, and anyother Space or Future Sci-fi games out there. Too many focus on Fantasy or Gothic Horror.
This would be really great to see for all the sci-fi games.
Would love to see this and be able to do Star Trek Adventures with it too
Percy Van Hoorebeke
Yes, we, the sci-fi RPG community are really rooting for this.
Even as a DLC.
Adrian
This is something that would be so welcome. Especially as there is a gap in this market

Agreed. I'd be happy to pay for a "Sci-Fi DLC" for DA.
DZ Rivera
Running games like Starfinder would make things so easy, especially with their horrid grids on some modules.
I'd buy this instantly for sci-fi settings and themes. I don't run fantasy anymore.
I had to buy Chronos builder instead, since this feature hasn't been added and doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon.
Michael Discks
is it any good?

Would also pick up DA instantly if a scifi theme pack was available.
solomani (solomani)
I run a science-fantasy setting so sci-fi themed tilesets would be great.
