I don't think it does but I would like that they enable this as well. Same for bridges and others structures.
Like that we can even create a flowing castle.
It would be really handy to have some amount of verticle control of certain objects. Being able to sink large rocks and place bridges at varying heights would go a long way in outdoor builds.
I did not know that, my apologies. I did check the item placement help section of the game and it made no mention of that.
Please give more thorough descriptions in the help section of the game. I should not have to surf for tutorials to answer questions that should already be provided.
When using an asset, have an option to put it in a floating position (either mid-height or ceiling height). This will enable some extra options for magical maps, flying objects, floating structure, etc.
I just purchased this program. It's awesome. A feature that would be useful is the ability to raise/lower an object. Currently, you can place, scale and rotate. The ability to raise/lower and object would be helpful for fine tuning the placement of objects. Thanks!
Even if the app can't support this specifically, a workaround might be to create a transparent platform item that would only be visible in edit mode, but when you did an export or switched to camera mode would disappear. Then the floater could be put on top of that.
Whilst being able to disable the snap to grid is nice, I would love the option to be able to fully customize the positioning of the assets, by having the chance to use an axis controller like you have in game engines, which lets you move it wherever and however you want.
i think there should be an option to lower and raise items, certain things can't go on other things (like apples onto sacks) and destroyed pictures cannot be put on the floor, i think there should be an ability to move things on the y axis too
With the upcoming removal of collision, all that's left that I can think of is the ability to move an object around in space, along the X, Y, or Z axis. Rotation might be included in that as The addition of rotation could see some highly interesting uses of false perspective (the ability to simulate façades in an orthographic view)
Spatial placement itself, however, especially along the Z axis, would provide a significant leap in the versatility we would have when working on a map. Take the simple, tried and true painting. Currently, they're locked at a specific height, which is very modern. If we look back, however, at older parts of history we see paintings arranged in all sorts of places; above one-another, stacked this way and that, crooked and straight and up and down the walls.
Not just paintings, but all sorts of objects could become indicators of habitancy by just the way that they're placed in an environment.
It would be marvelous to be able to recreate that in some capacity - the still chaos of places that are truly lived in, where the foundations of living are marked by the ever changing dynamism and needs of life.
Being able to hang a painting under a lamp, stack multiple sets of wall-mounted shelves, etc. Probably easiest implemented by allowing wall mounted items to be slid up and down the wall manually.
Being able to change an object's elevation (i.e., the z-axis) would be super-handy. Platforms sunk into the dirt could become elevated walkways over the swamp, or a floating crystal could be the centerpiece of a temple ruin, that kind of thing.
Currently objects can only be placed where the AI allows it. It would be ideal to be able to turn the AI off and position the object where ever we want.
Ideally, being able to move (x,y,z), rotate (rx,ry,rz) and scale (sx,sy,sz) all individually. Similar to Blender or other 3D packages.
x,y,z rotation is an absolute must for fallen trees, tipped over items and so on. Combined with height management and free placement, this would allow for example to place items on walls.

Does this include adjusting the height of objects attached to walls, like light fixtures and shelves?

When you disable collisions an up/down arrow appears on the object left side allowing you to move objects up and down.
Please verify a feature exists before making a request.
Thank you

Turn off collisions between objects and terrian, allowing objects to be "buried" in terrain.

Agreed. This should be merged with 'Object Height / Elevation / Z Axis movement'.
How is merging done?

Sometimes objects, bridges etc hanging above the surface. We have object scale option it would be great also vertical movement option for objects etc.

This feature would be great to allow people to create warning "signs" of skulls stuck atop stakes.

Could be incredibly useful for trying to put more decorations on walls. I've had objects on walls collide in ways that made things difficult.

Can it be possible to unclip object to the ground or wall in order to choose a random height.
Example : being able to make levitating candle, sculpture, rocks etc...
the ability to raise or lower an objects level or height
