would allow me to generate dungeons so fast
A little bit like the Instant Dungeon Button, but more controlled. A brush where we dan draw the path(s) we want our players to and the AI adds rooms, assets, and terrain that fit theme parameters we set. Would be lovely if we could paint off the borders and the map dimensions grew too.
Donjon is a common tool used by many DMs to build dungeons from a topographic perspective.
It would be great to integrate Dungeon Alchemist with Donjon Dungeon Generator, or well, have its own implementation.
That way, if a quick and fast dungeon is required, we could simply use the generated topography to specify room sizes and let the engine in Dungeon Alchemist fill said rooms.
After generating the topography and building the dungeon, Dungeon Alchemist can create a PDF with all the details, just like Donjon does on plain text, so the DM has an idea of what is present in each room.
It would be great if in this generator you could state which types of rooms you would like in your map and create an interconnected set of rooms. This would allow to create not only dungeons but fortresses, households, and so on. However, to be credible, they cannot be totally random. Constructions and buildings follow logical patterns of interconnection between rooms that are quite preserved if you compare different types of buildings. Buildings are not random, they follow designs based on its intended use, no matter if it is a household, castle, temple or a prison. To avoid random nonsenses, these patterns need to be identified and incorporated in the procedural generation algorithm, or results will be nonsensical and will break immersion.
would be amazing if we could upload a json of simple wall coordinates that the generator can use or even fill in a particular area in the dungeon for pseudo-random dungeons. But a big ask obviously.
I know people requested the big red button for an instant dungeon.
But why limit yourself there! Instant town where you can generate an instant town or hovel with a single click. You can select the size of he town or City and bam!!

Being able to import from donjon would be huge. Similarly, being able to import from watabou's single page dungeon generator would be nifty.

Maybe dungeonalchemist.upvoty.com/b/feature-requests/labyrinth/ added as an option?
